Step by Step - Volume 2B: An Introduction to Successful Practice with instructions in English, French, & Spanish by Kerstin Wartberg Violin Solo - Sheet Music

By Kerstin Wartberg

The Step by Step series is a collection of exercise books/CDs for violin based on Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's Mother-Tongue approach. From the very beginning, it will provide a solid foundation in instrumental technique. The focus is on teaching correct, child-appropriate practice habits that range from listening, singing, and dancing to playing music. The ideas presented should stimulate daily practice and also make it more effective. The CDs include pieces from the Suzuki Violin School in various tempi as well as the most important preparatory exercises.

I love the Step by Step books, and I was excited when I found them for less money. What I didn't realize is that the less expensive versions have much less material in them. The exercises are what make these books valuable in comparison to just owning the regular Suzuki Violin books. It is worth the extra money to get the complete version - check out how many pages you are getting. The full versions have around 60 and the less expensive less than 30.
