served as the opening music for the celebrated sci-fi series Star Trek: Deep Space
Nine, which aired from 1993 to 1999 as part of the larger Star Trek franchise.
This arrangement was created specifically for the Aarhus Brass Band in Denmark by
Jacob Vilhelm Larsen in 2007, capturing the grandeur and emotional depth of
McCarthy's original composition while tailoring it for the unique sound of a brass
band.
Recording is played by the Frederikshavn FDF Brass Band, conducted by Henrik Juul-Brinkmann
