You hear it every year: Christmas music is just better than Easter music. I would agree, but that only pushes me to find better music for Easter. For Catholics and the Sprinkling Rite, THIS is better music for Easter. It is challenging for the organist, and the cantor may struggle to keep the melody on the verses when the organ is playing water trickling figures, but, especially when you bring out the brass, this is a most effective piece, one that I look forward to as much as singing Alleluia for the first time.
