The first piece in each season is at the mid to late elementary level, the second piece is at the early intermediate level and the third piece is at the intermediate level. Spring Time Minuet in 3/4 time, uses the tonic and dominant in the bass clef and has a melody that stays within the 5 finger position of C. This is a great piece to use in conjunction with Harvest Time Minuet to teach students transposition. This piece is in the key of C minor. Teachers can also introduce transposing pieces from one 5 finger position to other 5 finger positions, both major and minor.
