SPRING FOUNTAINS MARCH is a fun, excing concert march for young bands. With tutti syncopation and lots of flourishes, the band will be able to express the joy of spring as fountains in the park start up again.
Woodwinds—Only the clarinet part is split throughout. The alto sax has a couple of split measures to reinforce the trills but supports the horn line for the rest of the march. The tenor sax supports the horn part when the altos have the trills. The ranges are within most 1st-year players and easily within 2nd-year players range. The 2nd Clarinet never goes above the break. The trills for all woodwinds (fountains) are easy trills for younger players.
Brass—Only the trumpet part is split and it is rhythmically unison throughout. Low brass/woodwinds are mostly entirely unison throughout the piece. Like the WW’s, all parts are playable by 1st-year players.
Percussion uses a standard concert march instrumentation. The bells have some trills and tremolos that could be new to a younger player.
