Commissioned for Yumi Terada's 2nd Marimba & Percussion Recital. From Terada's request "To develop literature for general enthusiasts, including junior and senior high school students", we devised that some young composers each create new works for percussion trio, quartet, and quintet. Considering the title "Spiritual", I hope you freely express the atmosphere suggested in each scene through a variety of approaches. Since I believe that performance effect can be gained at ensemble contests and also that basic performance ways can be studied in daily rehearsal, I hope that those of varied abilities can enjoy this performance without great difficulties.
