Kamil Hála (1 August 1931 – 29 October 2014) was a Czech pianist, composer, arranger and conductor who played a significant role in the development of Czech jazz and big-band music in the second half of the 20th century. After leading his own orchestra in the late 1950s, he joined the Czechoslovak Radio Dance Orchestra in 1960 as a pianist, later working as arranger and conductor.
Following the ensemble’s reorganisation in 1963, he became conductor of the Czechoslovak Radio Jazz Orchestra, a position he held until the 1990s, shaping its repertoire and contributing numerous arrangements and compositions. He was the brother of trumpeter Vlastimil Hála and the uncle of composer Jan Hála.
