A Rewarding Challenge to Play!
As an adult learner, tackling Chick Corea's 'Spain' at Grade 4 is a fantastic and rewarding experience! The John La Barbera arrangement for small big band really brings out the iconic Fusion and Latin grooves. It feels great to play such a classic piece. It's challenging enough to keep me engaged, but entirely achievable with practice. Highly recommend for a motivated hobbyist!

Robust Piano Part in Ensemble Setting
Though a Big Band arrangement, the piano part in this 'Spain' score (Grade 4) is exceptionally well-crafted. It's a driving force in the rhythm section, providing rich harmonic support and rhythmic energy, characteristic of Latin/Jazz fusion. While not explicitly for vocal accompaniment, a skilled collaborative pianist could certainly adapt its textures to support a lead melody or vocalist if desired. A quality arrangement overall.
