Powerful writing for the voice
Based on the traditional communion hymn text Schmcke Dich, This is a great piece for church choirs of moderate to advanced abilities. It works on small organs, although it lends itself very well to a full symphonic accompaniment on large organs. I have used it with several church choirs and choral festival groups and get consistent feedback about how beautiful the melodic writing is. All vocal parts have something interesting to say. The text is a communion text, but works in a variety of contexts due to is general praise character. Highly recommended.
