Songe Capricorne is an amazing piece of work. This piece truly tells a wonderful story, full of contrast, drama, and resolution. The parts vary widely in structure and presentation, which is nice for the player and the listener, if the contrast is brought out to its full potential. Most of Dyens' works are certainly for the Advanced guitarist, but this piece is fully Intermediate. It is an Intermediate masterpiece, in my opinion. I will keep this in my repertoire for quite a long time. Highly recommended to both the Intermediate & Advanced guitarists. There is just so much to be done with this piece, to capitalize on its wonderful potential. Pay attention to the Meticulous dynamic & phrasing markings, combine them with your own musicality, and you result will be something both you & the audience will love.
