His daughter Otylie, later the wife of Josef Suk, and his10-year-old sonAntonin, also premiered the work at a family concert. The purpose for which itwas intendedis reflected in the simplicity and clarity of musical ideas, and the relativelystraightforwardtechnical demands of the piece.
