Arrangement the Bach Sonata for Violin and Piano. Created in 1952 for Mr Martino's personal use. First performed in 1952. The first movement is a gorgeous study in sostenuto playing. What a great vehicle to show off your tone quality. The two allegros (2 & 4) are charming; the last requires careful preparation of breathing. And movement 3 is lovely, lyric and provides another and different vehicle for the manipulation of tone quality.
