The guitar duo of Ida Presti and Alexandre Lagoya enjoyed a 15-year career in performance and recording at the top of their craft. For The Presti-Lagoya Collection, Zigante has consulted the parts that they used, both in concert and in the recording studio, and the sources, to present score and parts for both guitars in handsome editions. Schubert's Sonata Arpeggione has been a challenge for arrangers and transcribers, ever since its original version for arpeggione (think: bowed guitar), an instrument which enjoyed only a brief period of popularity. The success that the Presti-Lagoya Duo had with this arrangement is testament to their arranging and performance skills.
