Print too cramped
This is a fine selection of classical sonatas for students just launching into this repertoire, but the print is so cramped that it makes it difficult, but not impossible to read. I don't think I'll be purchasing this edition again for my students.

Binding
My first purchase of this volume in the 1960's when I was in college. I've used it since, and its original sewn bound binding held up well all these years, but finally has given way to the years of use. This reprint has a cheap glued binding and paper oriented vertically rather than horizontally making it difficult to keep the volume open when in use. I doubt it will hold up very long. A great anthology - I wish volume II was available.
