Originally for piano, this arrangement is carefully scored for clarinet quartet (three Bb soprano clarinets and one Bb bass clarinet). This is a wonderful piece for both concert and contest. This is arranged within the comfortable playing range of the instruments, in a common keysign, with technical considerations worked out and with many useful rehearsal numbers for easy preparation. With attention to the rubato character of the piece, this is a highly expressive piece and very suitable for clarinet quartet.
