Softly and Tenderly
When a parishioner dies, I work with the family in choosing a new choir anthem in memory of their loved one. Softly and Tenderly was requested recently. I was delighted to find this version of that hymn. The new melody takes the funeral out of this hymn and gives it a new perspective. Not too difficult for my loyal choir of 9 adults.
