This arrangement has the melody given to the bassoon, with help from the flute (not heard on the preview clip) and clarinet. There is a middle section where the ensemble members are given the chance to improvise - 1 or 2 people would play the bassline, and another person improvises over the bassline.
There are lots of ways to make this piece fun for everyone. Have members of the ensemble take a solo - improvisation is a great skill to have, and it will help your concert program stand out. Have the audience members participate with body percussion - snaps, pats, claps, etc. Feel free to also change the bassline, or improvise a bassline, based on the chord symbols given.
