outstanding song!
This lovely number provides a blending of musical emotions, both of the crucifixion itself and of the hope that Christ's mission brings to all of us. The use of classical melodies and accompaniment create an elegant setting for the poetry of the song. The music is very accessible, both in range and in difficulty. The better the choir, the better the emotion, but simple enough for smaller groups as well. I give it an intermediate rating just for the emotional aspect, but the parts themselves are easier than that.Thanks again to SheetMusicPlus for providing the outstanding sample recording to help in choosing music for our choir!
