What makes this piece unique: This is a great chance for the pianist to show off their skills at inprovising (the chords are supplied along with the melody and lyrics).
"So Help Me" is one of my rare forays into writing Gospel songs. Yet there are many performers out there who know Gospel WELL, hence I have supplied the lyrics, melody, and chords, but not the piano accompaniment...those performers will know what to do to improvise accompaniment much better than I do!
The theme of the lyrics is one of changing the world for the better, one person at a time...with God's help, starting in our own hearts.
PS - My apologies about the attached recording. I am a composer, not a singer! As you will realize when you listen.
