"Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" is a show tune written by American composer Jerome Kern and lyricist Otto Harbach for the 1933 musical Roberta. Most folks can more closely relate to the 1959 cover by "The Platters" which rose to #1 on the charts. This is a contemporary arrangement that John and I have created which utilizes a primarily root-based chord blocking technique found in nearly all of our arrangements. It's fun to play and not too hard, we hope you like it!
