Fun & Engaging Big Band Classic!
What a joy to play this Grade 3 arrangement of Charlie Barnet's Skyliner! The Samba style is incredibly fun and makes you feel like you're part of a real big band. Playing my part in the sax section, contributing to the smooth melody, was so satisfying. Even as an adult learner, this felt achievable and truly captured the energetic spirit of the original. Highly recommend for pure enjoyment!

Excellent Ensemble Voicing for Instrumentalists
While not a vocal piece, this Jazz Ensemble arrangement of Skyliner showcases superb instrumental voicing and texture. As a collaborative pianist, I appreciate how the piano part provides strong rhythmic and harmonic foundation, supporting the sax melody and brass counterline without simply doubling.
