Beautiful edition
To be clear, I have only been studying A Man and A Woman from 110 IN THE SHADE for a duet performance we are preparing. The book is lovely. Both the notes and the lyrics are big and clear. The book binding is great. The pages stay open and they don't seem in danger of falling out. They are probably sewn in instead of being glued in.The tempo on the accompaniment recording was too slow. The Singer's Musical Theatre Anthology track clocked in at about q = 86. I would estimate the average tempo for the original Broadway cast recording as q = 102 and the 2009 Broadway revival at about q = 100. One is supposed to be able to manipulate the speed and pitch of the tracks with computer software. If that's true it wasn't obvious to me. I was able to speed the track up because I own a device called Superscope PSD340. I also couldn't find any software for the computer. I'm not saying that none exists. I just couldn't find it.That being said, I do recommend this anthology.
