My background was performing songs of this era and I have always loved this song. The full chords and resolutions add to the joy of the work. I have utilised the full SATB choral setting featuring divisi alto and piano accompaniment. The key changes at bar 44 suddenly launches the choir into C major. The piece concludes with a nice, full molto rit. ending. I hope you really enjoy performing this arrangement. Rod Christian.
