The required skill level is intermediate; however, the middle movement is a bit tricky with phrasing. There's no percussion, and there should be a big string section, but not enough to overbalance the solo woodwinds. The orchestration is Tchaikowskian, though overall, the compositional technique resembles Brahms. Still, the style is different.
