It is one of the most recorded Christmas songs, present in many films and performed by many artists. This arrangement for wind quintet has reimagined harmony. Loosely in the key of G-flat major, this version features quintal and non-functional harmony. It is best performed rubato, with the players free to play with the tempo and dynamics to create a truly memorable holiday concert selection.
