Christmas Arrangement for Clarinet Trio.
Silent Night was first performed in 1818 in the Austrian town of Oberndorf as a simple song with guitar accompaniment. Its prayerful beauty has been cherished around the world for more than 200 years. In this arrangement, the universal charm of the piece is preserved while the clarinet’s gentle timbre creates a warm ensemble sound. The melody is passed among the different parts, while the accompaniment unfolds in light, star-like patterns, maintaining a calm atmosphere yet singing out with expressive richness.
