I wrote this SAB arrangement for my mostly freshmen Concert Choir students at Whetstone High School in Columbus, Ohio, including a violin solo (or other C instrument) and piano accompaniment to support the singers. The first three verses are sung, and you'll see some of the words have been edited in order to have a better fit in a public school environment. An excellent choice for middle school or 9th grade choir teachers look to supplement a holiday-themed program. Also very fitting for Advent/Christmas church settings. The violin solo has no bowing or slur marks, and so the player is free to write whichever markings he or she sees fit for performance.
