Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona wrote music with Afro-Cuban roots in a classical style. Siboney, which he wrote for piano, uses broad melodies with an unmistakable Latin flavor. This arrangement is for chamber orchestra: strings plus seven single winds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone), percussion (including bongos and congas), and piano.
