Organist Cathleen Parsley of University Christian Church in Austin, Texas, commissioned the multi-talented Adrienne Inglis to create an organ arrangement of the John L. Bell hymn "She Is the Spirit." In her commentary on the work, Cathie shares: "Adrienne’s arrangement is all I could have wished for. It evokes the birds, the sky, the dance, and the possibility of the Spirit referred to in the hymn’s verses. The registration is specific to UCC’s organ, though it will lend itself to any organ. It is a lovely work, written for the day (Pentecost), and it is an honor to play Adrienne’s piece for the first time this morning (May 19, 2024).
