This is a collection organ solos in 12 tone atonal styles written Jan. 30 - Feb. 4, 2023. Thanks so Carson Cooman for suggesting this book. Compared to many 20th century compositions in this style these are very accessible and appropriate for instructional use. These can be used in concert and recital settings and perhaps appropriate for use in Holy Week. Each of the pieces are availalble separately. There is also a separate matrix for each piece at the back of this collection with indications in the music of which tone rows have been used throughout. The YouTube video is of Carson Cooman, Composer in Residence at Harvard University, performing the fifth piece, "Golgotha Shadows," while the MP3 is Dr. Stevens' demonstration of "Shadow Quiet" which is the first piece. Carson has recorded each of the pieces which can be viewed on his YouTube channel and personal website.
