(Mark Levine/arr: Bob Washut) - A "McCoy Tyner meets Eddie Palmieri" minor blues set in a burning rumba guaguanco groove. Solo changes are in all parts, with backgrounds cued. After the solo sections, the ensemble exchanges 8's with the drummer for two choruses. Alto sax 1 and tenor sax 1 both double soprano sax. Optional congas and hand percussion (chekere, cow bell, and claves) will lend authenticity. Lead trumpet extends briefly to a written high G above the staff. 5,4,4,G,P,B,D, percussion.
