Published by Andrew Middleton (A0.735984).Composed in 1875 by Tchaikovsky, September, is the ninth movement of The Seasons. The piece is also known as "The Hunt." The opening theme (repeated at the end of the piece) brings about images of hunting horns and horses galloping. The quieter middle section exploits interplay between oboe and clarinets, then adding in bassoon and flute, before a return to the rousing opening theme. This piece is ideal for the intermediate ensemble.
