Rich Instrumental Interpretation of a Broadway Favorite
While this is a concert band arrangement, not a piano/vocal score, Jay Bocook's work beautifully translates the drama of 'Wicked.' The instrumental textures and voice-leading within the band effectively convey the emotional arc of the original songs. It's an excellent piece for showcasing a concert band's ability to interpret and perform a powerful vocal-centric score.

Absolutely Love Playing This 'Wicked' Medley!
As an adult learner in a community band, playing Stephen Schwartz's 'Wicked' is a joy. The Grade 4 difficulty is challenging but very achievable, and the arrangement by Jay Bocook really makes us sound like the original Broadway magic. It's incredibly rewarding to play these iconic tunes. Highly recommend for pure musical enjoyment!

A good Wicked band piece
It was one of the best of the wicked pieces I have heard. The beginning was didn't really sound like it came from Wicked, but the rest sounded from the musical. I enjoyed using this piece!
