Like almost all composer-virtuoso players of this time, Carl Stamitz (1745-1801) also, besides duets for his own use, wrote easy duets for amateurs. His Op.27 that was published in 1780"chez Schott a Mayence"contains six duets of quite particular melodic charm and finely articulated rhythm.
