Commissioned for the 2025 Bay View Week of Handbells, Seascapes evokes the many moods of the ocean and the ebb and flow of its tides. Following a mysterious introduction, both ringers and audience will become part of the "wave" action underneath a beautiful melody in d minor. The center section moves in and out of both major and minor tonalities, reminiscent of the ever-changing ocean, before returning to the theme in d minor. The composition ends as it began with a misty, but glorious, sunset along the water’s edge.
