Sea Songs by Percy Hall Woodwind Trio - Sheet Music

By Percy Hall

Three familiar songs having something to do with the sea make up this mixed woodwind trio. 'Sailing, Sailing', 'My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean', and 'What Shall We Do with A Drunken Sailor.' Make the melodies sing. Dynamics, phrasing and articulations are all well marked. Play the finale with determination and excitement. It would be possible to use an oboe instead of the flute on the first part, although the range up to high D might be prohibitive unless the oboe player is sufficiently accomplished. Keys are B-flat major and G minor. This trio offers and excellent opportunity for young players to learn to blend three different instrumental colors together.
