Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1772612)."Se Hace Camino Al Andar" is a continuous publication of a few hundred short to medium length classical guitar pieces which were composed in various styles of European music of the common practice era (c. 1500-1900) and it is dedicated to that era.
This publication plan progresses in a series of twenty five pieces per volume, after which, a new volume starts. Each composition has a unique ID number for reference purposes. The general title of the series "Caminante no hay camino, Se Hace Camino Al Andar" comes from a Spanish verse in a well-known poem by Antonio Machado (1875-1939). It translates as "Traveler, there is no path, you make your own path as you walk", and in accordance with this approach it is taken as indicative of the processes of musical composition inventing itself in countless possibilities and musical paths as the common practice era of music has done and can testify.
Each composition is also given a name of a Goddess, Nymph, Nereid or other famous human personality from Greek Mythology, or ancient history, who acts as a guide through the camino attached to her name.
