Scenes from the Mission ist eine dreisätzige lateinamerikanische Suite, in der sich afrokubanische Rhythmen mit jazzigen Harmonien und eingängigen Melodien verbinden. Die vielfältigen Klangfarben des großen Blasorchesters wurden dabei sehr wirkungsvoll, passend zur jeweiligen musikalischen Stimmung, eingesetzt.
