Non si conosce molto di questo compositore spagnolo, maestro di cappella ad Alicante, se non le sue 5-6 opere che si conservano manoscritte presso la Biblioteca Nazionale di Spagna, tra cui 2 messe da requiem e questa messa in Fa maggiore. Sembra esser stato anche un fine studioso del contrappunto, come si evince da un suo scritto del 1802, dal titolo "Defensa del arte de la música, de sus verdadera reglas, y de los maestros de Capilla : impugnación al origen y reglas de la música".
We don't know much about Agustìn Iranzo y Herrero, maestro di cappella in Alicante, Spain, by whom we can still read a few works, including 2 requiem masses and this Mass in F major.But he was also well prepared on the music of the last centuries, as we can see from his "Defensa del arte de la música, de sus verdadera reglas, y de los maestros de Capilla : impugnación al origen y reglas de la música", published in 1802.
