Weckmann
I usually will always recommend anything by Barenreiter as they seem to always hit the mark. But, this collection being no exception, I still will go to bat for these publishers in giving us a fine rendition of Weckmanns compositions. I am only on one piece at the moment, but its a fine example of what youll find in this volume. The piece is a Fantasia, but with independent voicing in manuals and pedal, which predates Bach and his business. What is most special (to me) in this volume is that it lists Weckmanns own ornamentations, which can be hard to find in a reliable source. And Weckmanns ornamentations are not just his own, but based upon, mostly, French origins. Most helpful indeed. Another highly recommended volume!
