Dit werk is gebaseerd op de beroemde tango 'El Choclo' van Angel Villoldo. De tango is de nationale dans van Argentinië, maar Terry maakte van dit wijsje een samba, wat dan weer de nationale dans van Brazilië is. Daarbij liep hij dus het risico de helft van de Zuidamerikaanse bevolking tegen elkaar in het harnas te jagen. Het arrangement is zeer dynamisch en ritmisch, zodat we durven hopen dat zij het zullen goedkeuren en ervan genieten.

This is based on the famous tango 'El Choclo' by Angel Villoldo. The tango is the national dance of Argentina, but Terry has turned it into a samba, which is the national dance of Brazil, thereby running the risk of antagonising half the population of South America. The arrangement is lively and up-beat, so we hope they will approve and enjoy it.

Cette pièce est basée sur le thème du célèbre tango 'El Choclo' d'Angel Villoldo. Le tango est la danse nationale argentine, mais Terry a converti le thème en une samba qui, elle, est la danse nationale brésilienne. Voilà de quoi créer une animosité au sein de la moitié de la population sud américaine. L'arrangement est très animé et fort rythmé ce qui nous fait espérer qu'ils l'approuveront et l'apprécieront.

Dieses Stück ist auf den bekannten Tango 'El Cho-clo' gegründet. Der Tango ist der Nationaltanz Argentiniens, aber Terry hat die Melodie in einen Sambarhythmus arrangiert. Der Samba ist aber der Nationaltanz Brasiliens. Der Arrangeur lief also das Risiko daß er die Hälfte der Bevölkerung Süd-amerikas gegen einander in Harnisch bringen könnte. Aber das Arrangement ist so dynamisch und rhythmisch daß die leute dort es bestimmt auch schätzen werden.
