SKU: A0.1736164

By Max Morath. Composed by George Whiting and "Roland E. Laab. Arranged by Steve Hardy. This edition: pdf. 20th Century, A Cappella, Barbershop, Comedy, Pop. 4 pages. Steve Hardy #1297566. Published by Steve Hardy (A0.1736164).

A TTBB arrangement of a "mock ballad". The music was written by Earnest R Ball, but he apparently didn't want his name on it. Llab is Ball spelled backwards, and Rolland is his middle name. The song bemoans the apparent loss of drinking establishments as the country neared Prohibition. I suggest you not mention the name of the song prior to singing it so it's less clear what the song is about, and the audience may get sucked into thinking this is a serious song early on.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
