S. Prokofiev: 10 Pieces, op.12, Orchestrated by A. Leytush, Part II (8-10+ encore), Score & Parts Full Orchestra - Digital Sheet Music

(Prelude as an encore) This wonderful Prelude in the cycle is one of the most successful and popular pieces; which, after the first listening, will imprint and remain playing in the ear for a while. The reason for this is not only the skillfully designed composition, but above all, the bright thematic material. From the very beginning, this prelude resembles a typical musician's morning, practicing with enviable persistence and diligence. Having finished the orchestration of this part, an idea came to me: to play it again as an encore after the performance of the whole suite, but in a modified form. The following program was composed: Exposition:Imagine a plot: when a professional pianist living, in an apartment building, begins to practice the piano early in the morning on the weekend. His unfortunate neighbors, who have not known rest all week, begin to rattle on adjacent walls and knock on the radiator to finally stop this torture. Middle part:The neighbors have finally had enough, and pile in the staircase to fight with our unlucky pianist and, of course, with raised voices. After this spontaneous skirmish, it turns out that our hero, in essence, is a very nice person, and not at fault that the evening concerto requires serious preparation. Recapitulation:As a result, having let "the steam out", justice triumphed and, to our surprise we hear this pianist peacefully playing music with his neighbors. P.S. One small but essential detail is encoded: when you hear the ticking of the clock (Marimba), signifying that the time is up and our musician must practice and prepare for the performance.
