ריקוד חסידי (Hasidic Dance for Saxophone Quartet) by Traditional Saxophone Quartet - Digital Sheet Music

By Traditional

Length:

Length: 3:38Instrumentation: Saxophone Quartet (SATB)This arrangement captures the duality of traditional Hasidic dance, blending the joyful, energetic communal styles like the shuffling Freylekhs and rhythmic Bulgar with the slower, more spiritual and introspective tempo of the Khosidl. It evokes the ecstatic motion, characteristic stomping, and expressive solos (shaynen) found in wedding celebrations, transforming these collective circle and line dances, rooted in centuries of spiritual expression and Polish/Romanian traditions, into a vibrant soundscape for the modern saxophone quartet. The Arranger: Alex BurdenEmail: [email protected] Burden is a Florida born musician and music educator residing in Southwest Florida.
