Pure fun! I took the stereotypical Russian folk dance theme, and then I jam on it! There are nine 8-bar sections in this theme and variations. I categorize it as Contemporary Classical because it fuses Classical, Baroque, Romantic, chromaticism, and lots of early jazz, all with a strong and vigorous Russian folk dance beat. Practicing your technique has never been so much fun; from mordents to syncopation with lots of varying articulation including staccato, slur, accents, and tenutos.  Great for recitals where you can show your technique and dazzle them at the same time.
