Excellent for Beginning Jazz Ensembles!
This "Discovery Jazz" arrangement of "Route 66" is perfect for my Grade 1.5 students. The moderate swing tempo and easy rhythms make it highly teachable for introducing the jazz style. Fun Collection for Learning Jazz Ensemble!
I absolutely love this "Discovery Jazz" collection! Playing Bobby Troup's "Route 66" with friends has been a blast. The Grade 1.5 difficulty is just right for me, an adult learner, to feel accomplished without being overwhelmed. The easy rhythms and moderate tempo make it enjoyable to play. Plus, having other classic tunes in the book is a fantastic bonus for a weekend player!
