Kurt Kellan, past Principal Hornist with the Calgary Philharmonic, had often asked Elizabeth Raum to orchestrate this piece, so when the occasion arose for a new work for the 2001 Prairie Festival of New Music, she decided to adapt the music for solo Cello and Orchestra.
