ROCK ON is a contemporary hymn with three verses and chorus based on multiple "Rock" references from the Bible. It is written with the harmonic structure of an old time religion gospel tune with guitar chords which make it appropriate for contemporary worship services. My composition program did not allow me to write in hymnal format, so I numbered the verses and printed the chorus which is sung after each numbered verse. The feeling expressed is that we fall short as sinners, but are saved by the rock of ages and are like field stones part of the walls of the church with Christ as the cornerstone.
