Written as part of the Delian Suite No 7 by various composers on the legend of Robin Hood, this movement depicts the tale of the Bishop of Hereford, whom Robin Hood forced to dance. The bishop was a fat and ungainly fellow so I decided to make him dance to a limping 11 time theme. The Iris Clarinet quartet had great fun performing it.
