Michael Johns is a member of the faculty of Temple university where he is Director of Brass Ensembles, and Swarthmore College where he conducts the Wind Ensemble.xa0 He also teaches horn at both schools and has coached wind and brass groups of many instrumentations and sizes since 1982.Mr. Johns has played in brass quintets since 1971 and is currently a member of the Opera Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Ballet, and Philly Pops orchestras.xa0 He has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Symphony, Boston Pops, and at the Marlboro Festival.
